"The second time that we have stayed at this hotel and both times have been great! Good breakfast with fresh juice, fruits, bread, cereal, eggs etc. Nice pool, with great part for small children. Clean and nice rooms! Great location so close to the beach and to all the restaurants and shops. Fantastic staff, really helpful with everything and a special thanks to Josef in the bar for teaching our son how to make great milkshakes! :)"

"My husband & I just returned from an amazing 9-night stay at Riviera Del Sol ( for the 2nd time actually in the last 10 years), & we can't express enough to our fellow travelers that this is the way to truly do Playa. This quaint hotel is in the most up & coming northern part of Playa, one block away from 5th Ave & the best beach for which they'll give you free passes for chairs & umbrellas at Mamitas Beach Club daily (quite crowded at times, but waiter service for cocktails & food while sitting on the beach is quite a plus!), & the hotel & staff, especially Gabriella at the front desk, are beyond amazing. Our room (301) couldn't have been nicer with two balconies or kept more immaculate, & the little stuff like needing a coffee maker for the mornings, was handled immediately & professionally by Gabriella. Breakfast, which is also included in the nightly rate, was always delicious. Varied daily, with a different variation of yummy scrambled eggs, along with different breads, sides, jams, yogurt, & fresh-squeezed juices was also an enjoyed plus. Thanks Riviera Del Sol for making our vacation even more enjoyable by offering us superb accommodations & over the top friendly service - it was greatly appreciated!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay!! Staff and accommodations were perfect! We stayed 3 nights. Could walk to everything, it rained a bit but we borrowed a umbrella from them and went out to hit the town..the free breakfast every morning hit the spot and was very tasty.. They also had a bar for the guest to get a cocktail by the pool.. We'd definitely stay again."

"We just spent three nights at Riviera Del Sol. What a great experience! We will definitely stay here again. The hotel is quaint and personal with just 26 rooms. Our room was pretty, spotless and had everything we needed. A comfy king size bed and a balcony overlooking the pool. The front desk staff and breakfast staff were very nice and attentive. The included breakfast was way more than continental. There were always various choices like eggs, freshly squeezed juices, fruit and good coffee. We loved the location. Right in between the bustling 5th avenue and a block from Mamitas beach-which they give free passes for. Highly recommend! Thank you Michelle and staff for a fantastic vacation! "

"We stayed at the Riviera del Sol over Christmas and New Year. It's just off 5th Avenue and a short walk to the beach so really easy to get around Playa. They give you vouchers to use the Mamita’s beach club so you get sun beds and parasol at the beach. We had a ground floor twin bed room with a terrace overlooking the pool. The rooms are spacious with a decent sized shower room. The beds are very firm and comfortable. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Thoughtful touches such as little Christmas and New Year presents left on our beds - including New Year hats and ear plugs (due to proximity to the beach clubs!) Although the double glazing is good so you don't hear the noise from the clubs too much. Pool small and unheated but nice to cool off in. Breakfast is good - fresh fruit, pastries and coffee - and hot food as well. A really good hotel for the Price"
